[jira] Commented: (WICKET-1503) AutoCompleteTextField encoding bug
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WICKET-1503?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12782520#action_12782520 ]
Yrjö Kari-Koskinen commented on WICKET-1503:
--------------------------------------------
I can reproduce this problem with wicket 1.4.3. I tried the following configurations in the Tomcat connector: useBodyEncodingForURI="true" and URIEncoding="UTF-8",
but they did not solve the problem.
The problem persist on the following browsers: Firefox 3.5.5, MSIE8, and Chrome 3.0.

> Key: WICKET-1503

> Project: Wicket
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: wicket-extensions
> Affects Versions: 1.3.2, 1.3.3
> Environment: Tomcat 6.0.16
> java version "1.6.0_01"
> running on Linux

> Texts with non-ascii characters are not correctly en-/decoded. Eg. when I enter "ö" in the AutoCompleteTextField it gets encoded in the request as q=%C3%B6 which is the correct UTF-8 encoding. However in the getChoices(String) method I see "ö" instead of "ö" (decoded as ISO-8859-1 or similar).
> I did not alter any encoding settings in Tomcat - not yet anyway.
> EDIT: Tested with Firefox 2.0.0.13
