ActionForward to a action mapping

I am trying to do the following in an action-mapping:

 <forward name="success" path="/searchHoliday.do" />

there is an action-mapping for searchHoliday

but I am getting the following error on iPlanet AppServer 6 SP2:

Error: 404 SC_NOT_FOUND
Mime mapping not found for file, while displaying static content 

I can add this mime-mapping to my web.xml, but should it be necessary?
