Custom Distribution with overrides cfg files

for deploying a module of our product, we conduct a karaf distribution with
modified configuration files. I would like to use the new method, but I am
having the same problem as the ticket:

Someone has an idea, I can also make a patch on the karaf maven plugin. it
is rather urgent I am short of ideas
