[jira] Commented: (ACE-47) Presents of Gateways that have been gone not updated

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ACE-47?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12762705#action_12762705 ]

Marcel Offermans commented on ACE-47:
-------------------------------------

The server currently does not really have a notion of a gateway being present or going away. Communication is initiated by the gateway, so the best the server can do is keep track of the date and time at which it last "saw" that gateway. Of course one could define "away" as "not having seen it for X amount of time" but you can never be sure. Showing that "last seen date" somewhere in the UI probably makes sense.

> If a gateway goes away, webui insists of them being "OK". Have not checked if its just a UI thing or the server not recognizing this.
