[jira] [Created] (NETBEANS-3472) Build fails due to folder permission issues created by NetBeans

Peter Milesson created NETBEANS-3472:
----------------------------------------

Summary: Build fails due to folder permission issues created by NetBeans
                 Key: NETBEANS-3472
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-3472
             Project: NetBeans
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: ide - UI
    Affects Versions: 11.2
Environment: Windows 10, 1903. Samba 4.0.9 file server for storage, mapped as E:. Both machines are VMs under Xen in the same physical box.
            Reporter: Peter Milesson
         Attachments: Permission-denied.png, build-fail.txt

Hi folks,

I have got a Spring web project on a Samba share that is mapped to E:

When the build folder is not empty, build fails due to folder permission issues (attachment). While NetBeans IDE is open, I cannot even delete the contents of the build folder, and a Windows error dialog pops up (attached). To build, I need to quit NetBeans IDE, delete the contents of the build folder manually, and start NetBeans IDE again, and finally build the project.

I have switched back to using NetBeans IDE 11.1, which does not display this behavior.

Best regards,

Peter
