Abhishek Ranjan created CLOUDSTACK-9936:
-------------------------------------------

Summary: Cloudstack virtual fails to pickup the gateway IP configured in the template image , used for VM creation. The DHCP forcibly changes the gateway IP
                 Key: CLOUDSTACK-9936
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-9936
             Project: CloudStack
          Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public (Anyone can view this level - this is the default.)
          Components: Network Devices, Virtual Router
    Affects Versions: 4.9.0
         Environment: centos 7 64 bit
            Reporter: Abhishek Ranjan

Cloudstack virtual fails to pickup the gateway IP configured in the template image , used for VM creation. The DHCP forcibly changes the gateway IP.
The gateway IP configured in template is one managed from the physical firewall , which is getting assigned to multiple zones tagged to specific VLAN. In the version 4.9 and above the DHCP adds it own value and does not accept the correct gateway ip causing the VM be undiscoverable at times, also in case of a storage server failure the management reboots the VM where again the DHCP puts it own IP segment even though we would prefer to retain the values already configured.
