I'm having the same exact problem, although I am installing as root. Would
really appreciate any help.
Also solaris 8. Also svn 1.1.1
I looked in the subversion/po subdirectory but can't find any file named
de.mo

I'd like to help. I answered his mail
(http://svn.haxx.se/users/archive-2004-11/0027.shtml). In order to be
able to help, please give me the info and I'll see if I can diagnose
the problem.
Oh, maybe you could add a listing of subversion/po too.
