This issue is still occurring with the latest cordova-android (5.1.0-dev) and cordova-plugin-geolocation (2.0.0).

I've updated the project in the bitbucket repo with these versions. The result still the same: requesting location causes emulator to reboot with exception: 
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: provider doesn't exist: network

Is this likely to be an Android issue rather than a Cordova issue?
