SCA Java 1.1 release branch is ready for checkout

Hi

I've cut the release 1.1. branch and you can find it here
(http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/tuscany/branches/sca-java-1.1/
).

I've just checked it out. I very nearly got a clean build. I had an itest
failure in itest/wsdl which went away when I compiled from the module
itself. So I'd appreciate others to try also. Beware the version in the
branch is currently the same as the trunk ( 1.1-incubating-SNAPSHOT). Some
kind souls offered to fix the trunk version (to 1.2-incubating-SNAPSHOT?)
which would be splendid if you get round to it. If not I'll fix it later.

Feel free to check in changes over the next couple of days but please.

- get a clean build first
- post on the ML if you are including any dependency changes noting that you
refer to R1.1. in the subject if you can

I'm going to start fixing up the distribution some more and in particular
reviewing the dependencies. Issues I know about now are...

saxon versions - I'm going to try Sebastien's suggesting of rolling back the
things that depend on 9.0.0.2
Include
  samples/quote-xquery ?
Remove
  samples/helloworld-deep-webapp

I'm sure there are more.

I'll try an get a RC0 for Monday for us to look at (I didn't post the one I
made before Christmas) with a view to getting an RC1 to vote on
Tuesday/Wednesday depending on how much fixing is required. Does that sound
realistic based on what people know is still outstanding?

Regards

Simon

I wonder if we're doing this right, I changed trunk to
1.1-incubating-SNAPSHOT when i did the 1.0 branch and i'm fine with trunk
being 1.2-incubating-SNAPSHOT now, but it doesn''t seem really convenient to
have to change the trunk version everytime we do a release so is there
something else we could use in trunk to avoid that - 1.x-incubating-SNAPSHOTor
2.0-incubating-SNAPSHOT or ...?

With SVN r609120 the trunk is now using version 1.2-incubating-SNAPSHOT.

All builds OK except two modules (calculator-implementation-policies and
osgi-implementation) which were already broken before the version change.

+1 from me, I'll change the trunk to 1.2-incubating-SNAPSHOT later today
or tomorrow.
