This is a good page and still relevant.  References to openejb.conf should be changed to openejb.xml.

The "When is the openejb-jar.xml used?" section is outdated.  We will deploy your jar even if you do not have an openejb-jar.xml.

The "Do I even need the deploy tool then?" also implies you still need an openejb-jar.xml.

Information not in the docuement:
 - parially complete openejb-jar.xml files are ok.  we will fill out the rest.

A section on "Why would I want an openejb-jar.xml" would be nice as it's no longer a given you will have one.
