[jira] [Commented] (CASSANDRA-3337) Create a 'killtoken' command

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-3337?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13123560#comment-13123560 ]

Brandon Williams commented on CASSANDRA-3337:
---------------------------------------------

A possible use case: you bootstrap a node, it immediately dies before running cleanup. Since the topology has effectively not changed, all you need is the token gone, but if you removetoken it unhelpfully tries to restore the replica count needlessly.

> Sometimes you just want a token gone: no re-replication, nothing, just excise it.
