moodle modul

openmeetings 3.1.1 is running fine.
Moodle 3.0.3 installed
mod_openmeetings_moodle31_2016052401.zip installed
Only standard values used in the modul configuration
I can't find any mistake in the modul configuration.
If I try to save a room for a moodle course:
Does I miss something?

Re: moodle modul

Posted by Daniel Baker <in...@collisiondetection.biz>.
I am having the same problem. Same error message on
Moodle 3.1

I can see from a previous thread " Re: two issues with the openmeetings
moodle plugin (2.0.0.1)" that Maxim is working on resolving it.

I am getting debug info to try and help.

Thanks,

Dan

It seems that the SID (session_id) is missing in the GET parameters.

Hi,

You should create a new "soap user" to connect from moodle.

Juan

Ahh I see. So it looks like I would need a dedicated server to run
Openmeetings on, or can it be installed on shared hosting ?

Thanks,

Re: Moodle module not installing

To use OpenMettings from Moodle you need three elements:

 1. OpenMeetings (http://openmeetings.apache.org/)
 2. Moodle: https://moodle.org/
 3. Moodle - OpenMeetings integration plugin:
    https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_openmeetings

All elements have to be compatible so you have to choose correct versions.

Is this not the moodle module ? Is there something else I need to

Hi Daniel,

Moodle's openmetings plugin last versión is 2.0.0.4 and it will work
with Moodle 3.1. But, Which Openmetings app versión are you using? You
are not telling us.

Hi Daniel,
you wrote, that you have installed openmeetings 2.0.0.4. That will not
work with this Moodle modul, because it is designed for openmeetings
3.1.x. So I would you recommand to install openmeetings 3.1.1

Hello to all,
Thank you to all, who tried to find a solution for my problem. As I
didn't know, what I could do more, I cleared the db and made a new
installation. After this even the moodle modul run fine.
Many thanks!
Walter

I believe db drop is the reason of this misbehavior
You need to carefully check what is running and where...
I'll be on vacation for the next 2 weeks, so hopefully someone else can
help you

Re: moodle modul

Posted by Walter Neumann <wa...@buerostudio-neumann.at>.
Hello Maxim,
in the openmeetings.log are only entries till 05-27 12:20:44. But I
know, that on this time I had troubles with the Database even in web
interface. So I deleted the db and started a new DB with a new install.
And since that time the web interface worked fine. But over this time
is nothing to find in the openmeetings.log file.
But I can see, in what database the web interface write. Moodle is
webinar_or_at_db1 and OM is webinar_or_at_db2. I have only this one web
server.
Could it be, that OM REST looks for mariaDB? I did not install mariaDB,
so there is nothing to find.
Or could it be the java connector to mysql? I have used 5.1.39.
Thanks again
Walter

Re: moodle modul

Posted by Maxim Solodovnik <so...@gmail.com>.
so you are using same server for

1) OM web interface
2) OM REST call

OM web interface can see the user, OM REST can't see the user ....
this is extremely weird

Can you triple-check you are using same server?
what is in openmeetings.log? (not access.log are you are looking at)
what DB are you using?

Hello Maxim,
The error code is still -10. Here the complete message:

{"serviceResult":{"code":-10,"type":"ERROR"}}

The log message is the same:
XX.XXX.XX.XXX - - [03/Jun/2016:10:59:22 +0200] "GET
/openmeetings/services/user/login?&user=moodleuser&pass=XXXXXXXXXX
HTTP/1.1" 200 56

allow.soap.register = 1

Thanks for all effort.
Walter

Hello Maxim,
Thanks for your message. Yes I have done.
Openmeetings and moodle are installed on my webserver. So I have changed
localhost to the ip of my server and username and password.
I registered a new user with all rights, but it is the same.
Here the log lines where Moodle try to connect to OM:
127.0.0.1 - - [03/Jun/2016:09:20:42 +0200] "GET
/openmeetings/services/user/login?&user=moodleuser&pass=XXXXXXXXXX

And here is the Form from the new user:

What can I do more?
Thank you for your good work.
Walter

Re: moodle modul

Hello Maxim,
I am sorry, but that error-message is not true.
In the table om-user are 2 entries and the user with the login name
"admin" and the id "1" has all rights (admin right and soap right). I
can login with this user to om and all works fine. And this user name
and password I have defined in moodle om configuration.
I don't know, why it says -10.
Maybe I have done something wrong. But this user exist.
Thanks for your hints.
Walter

connect om via SOAP.

Thanks & Greetings,
Michael

Hello Michael,
thank you for your advice. It was a new installation, not an update. And
I used really the standard values for the om server.
What could I do wrong?
Thanks!
Walter

Hello Walter,

have you checked the settings of the om plugin for your openmeetings
server? After an upgrade from previous versions of the plugin it could
be that the old settings are over written with the default settings.

Thanks & Greetings,
Michael
