Last call: please review Features and Download pages
Hi all,
All the stars are aligning at the moment and the 11.3 release is
tantalizingly nigh.
Would be great if everyone would give a quick look at the below, which have
not yet been linked into the main download page, but will be when we
announce the release:

Testing it now, all of the top Google results for "netbeans download" and "download netbeans" now seem to go straight to the latest version--excellent! And the old versions are nicely tucked away on the download page (but still accessible) on new URLs.

Following up from an earlier Twitter thread [1], Google searches for "netbeans download" or "download netbeans" still point to download pages for old NetBeans version [2]. The latest Apache version does not show up until result number 8 (which nobody will see). This is a big problem.
I'd propose the following solution:
* Have each of the download pages for the old versions [2] permanent redirect to https://netbeans.apache.org/download
* Move each of the old pages to a new subdirectory called "old", e.g. move https://netbeans.org/downloads/8.0.2/ to https://netbeans.org/downloads/old/8.0.2/
* Put a small "Older Versions" link from https://netbeans.apache.org/download to https://netbeans.org/downloads/old (with links to the old pages in their new locations in the "old" subdirectory)

Yes, just editing of the NB 11.2 updates file on the VM only - no need for
dist/mirrors.

Well, I won't say it must. It is a nice to have, but AFAIK it still
require manual edit of the updates.xml.gz file, it can happen few days
after the release, so I won't hold the announcement for that.

Sorry it's a busy day for me. I think we need to wait around another 12h to get the mirror fully replicated with installers.
And a last question all the Update center must indicate there is a 11.3 ?
