This is a weird issue . I tried with many input strings but only with "SEC" the table column width goes beyond the panel . The bug description is slightly wrong in the sense that the page still has the editable action item but it's extended beyond the boundaries. 

One solution is to limit the max-width of the table column to say "86px" . This solves the issue but distorts the alignment by some minimal amount . 

Assigning to Brian , if there's any other elegant solution .
