Jackrabbit Oak 1.38.0 release plan

Hi all,

I'm planning to cut Jackrabbit Oak 1.38.0 tomorrow.

I transitioned all open issues scheduled for 1.38.0 to 1.40.0:

https://issues.apache.org/jira/issues/?jql=project%20%3D%20OAK%20AND%20fixVersion%20%3D%201.38.0%20%20AND%20resolution%20%3D%20Unresolved

The candidate release notes are here:

https://github.com/apache/jackrabbit-oak/blob/trunk/RELEASE-NOTES.txt

Let me know if there are any objections.

Regards,
Andrei

Well yes, it most certainly has to do with the Windows platform.

I can only state that tests did pass up to this change, and now they
fail. As such, if there was a release vote, I would have to vote "-1".

If this is not a regression of the code per se, but just tests that did
not run before, then the right thing would be to disable these tests on
Windows, and link that change to the ticket.

Best regards, Julian

See <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OAK-9324>: tests fail on
Windows. I don't think we should release with this issue.
