[jira] Created: (MYFACES-205) MyFacesGenericPortlet should allow subclassing

MyFacesGenericPortlet should allow subclassing
----------------------------------------------

         Key: MYFACES-205
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MYFACES-205
     Project: MyFaces
        Type: Improvement
    Reporter: Stan Silvert
 Assigned to: Stan Silvert
    Priority: Minor
     Fix For: Nightly Build

In order to create JSF applications that can use portlet modes (i.e. Edit and Help modes), the MyFacesGenericPortlet must be subclassed. The current version has several private methods and members that should be protected instead.

Also, MyFacesGenericPortlet needs to have a version of the nonFacesRequest() method that accepts a view ID. This allows a portlet to "jump" to a particular view when entering a new mode.
