Hi.
Same problem trying to compile apache 2.0.54 on Tru64 UNIX 5.1A (patch-kit 6)

Here's an extract from config log:

checking which MPM to use... worker
The currently selected MPM requires threads which your system seems to lack
checking checking for replacement... prefork selected
