Nutch, Solr, Lucene - resources

I will be buying Lucene in Action to get started. Are there any other
books or recommended resources I should consult to come up to speed on
these techs?

Hi,

If you are looking for some practically oriented books (with useful source
code examples) then you should check these Manning books (they should be out
soon):
http://www.manning.com/ingersoll/
http://www.manning.com/hatcher3/
http://www.manning.com/alag/
http://www.manning.com/marmanis/

Also I found this O'Reilly book useful:
http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/9780596529321/

Anyway, if you want to get more into related science field then you should
focus on different books (or papers). For example Introduction to
Information Retrieval (
http://www-csli.stanford.edu/~hinrich/information-retrieval-book.html) is a
good start (afaik aside theory it discusses both Lucene and Hadoop as well).
