[C2] session from the objectModel

    Is the session in the objectModel passed to actions? If not, can I get
the session in an action somehow.

Thanks, Matt

    Sorry. I'd gotten so used to my XSP pages having the session available
by itself from C1.  Thanks.

The session object is obtained from the Request object:

Request req = (Request) objectModel.get(Constants.REQUEST_OBJECT);
Session ses = req.getSession();

Try to obtain a session as you normally would do.
