won't this decision be specific to a project? In other words, some projects I may be building might allow LGPL dependencies, some may not...if we save the answer for use later on, we need to know which projects are approved for which licenses...and actually, if we're saving it per-project, can't we go on to add this approval to the pom, to streamline?

Perhaps I'm not all that wise on the ins and outs of licensing and legality...
