[jira] [Created] (FLEX-33808) Adobe Scout Advanced telemetry
password
Jeff Phillips created FLEX-33808:
------------------------------------
Summary: Adobe Scout Advanced telemetry password
Key: FLEX-33808
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLEX-33808
Project: Apache Flex
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: .Unspecified - Framework
Affects Versions: Apache Flex 4.10.0
Reporter: Jeff Phillips
Priority: Minor
To fully support Adobe Scout advanced-telemetry options, there needs to be a way to password protect telemetry data - to limit advanced profiling to only those that know the password.
Version 4.10 provided ability to "turn on" flag for advanced telemetry that are useful when doing automated builds with ANT scripts (i.e. legal FlexTask available/passed as mxmlc attributes).
for e.g. one can add "advanced-telemetry="true" as an attribute to the mxmlc tag of an ANT build script to enable advanced telemetry profiling with Scout. However, there is currently no where to set/enable a password.
suggest:
. Add variable/flag to hold/set a password.
. update the Flex 4.x.x/ant/README.txt, or some other logical place, with instructions on how to use.
