Apache and MS interoperability

Hi,

I am a newbie to SOAP, so please excuse me if this is a simple question.

I am currently working on a project, where we are required to transact with
an external party using SOAP.
The external party has outsourced their development to a Microsoft "only"
solution provider.

I have currently written a service which accepts a SOAP packet, and then
inserts the message onto a message queue and then passes back a messageid
used for reference.
I wrote a very simple client in Java, to submit the soap packet to the
service.
This part works fine.

Now I need to setup a very simple VB app(client) to submit SOAP packets to
my Apache SOAP service.( Note: I have very limited VB experience (about 7
years ago) ).

Is there anything special I need to setup to enable the submission of SOAP
packets using VB?
Is there any sample code that I can get to use VB to submit SOAP packets to
an Apache SOAP service?

Conversely, I need to submit SOAP packets to an MS SOAP service, using Java.
What do I require, inorder to accomplish this?

The MS SOAP service, is going to be developed by the external party's
development team. They will have their service ready by Thursday (29 March
2001).

Any assistance or information will be greatly appreciated!

Thank You
Suren
