help with rand() function

Hello, I would like know about the period of the rand() function, I have
searched  in the forum but I have not found anything in the matter.

I suspect that there can be an implementation of the  Mersenne Twister
generator, but i'm not sure.

Felix, 
You would do better asking this on the Developer’s list rather than here on the user’s list. Most of us here wouldn’t know a Mersenne Twister from Boston baked beans. Another possibility: Download the source code and look for it yourself.
