commit fails

Upon trying to commit my changes back to the repository, I'm getting the
error:
 
Can't open .././..svn-base.tmp
 
Not sure what other types of information might help in uncovering what
the problem might be.  We're using windows xp.  Anyone know what the
problem could be?  Thanks.

users@subversion.tigris.org is the right place to ask this, thanks.
