Minutes: JDO TCK Conference Call Wednesday June 15 noon PDT 21 CEST

Posted by Craig Russell <ap...@gmail.com>.
Attendees: Michael Bouschen, Tilmann Zäschke, Craig Russell

Next meeting: Thursday June 23 1100 PDT 2000 CEDT

Agenda:

1. Branches 3.2 and 3.2.1

Most of the changes from 3.2 were already done.

JDO_master.odt changed the version number in the new spec repository.

So the only real change needed is in HowToReleaseJDO.md file.

Also, "Be sure to merge back all changes from the release branch to main." needs to be added to HowToRelease. HTR.

Done.

2. JIRA JDO-815 "Change headers on source files to use https:// instead of http://" https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-815 <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-815>

PR #50 "Update pom.xml to change http to https" https://github.com/apache/db-jdo/pull/50 <https://github.com/apache/db-jdo/pull/50>

Creadur project just released RAT 0.14 which is needed to verify headers with https..

AI Craig verify that changing the headers now passes the RAT test without any other changes. (may involve more than 1659 files affected by this change).
.yaml, .pom, rat-excludes, all java files, xmlds files.
Double check after making changes: search for http:// in all text.

Please let's not change anything in main until you see the PR has been completed.

3. Derby's removal of the security manager (see email from Tilmann)
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-816 <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-816>

4. JIRA JDO-812 "Move to JDK 11 as the lowest supported version" https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-812 <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-812>
