Ant integration proposal - Merge complete

Hi all,

I've just finished merging the Ant integration proposal into the main 
trunk. I hope I haven't missed anything. I'll be monitoring the various 
machines that run Gump closely in the next couple of days, as a few 
initial problems are to be expected.
