will istats feature run in a soft upgraded database?

I was just wondering, will istats feature run by default in a soft
upgraded database running in 10.8?

That seems to be the way it works right now (did a quick check with
istat logging enabled to verify). I don't think it has any dependencies
on functionality not available in soft upgrade, and the format of
SYS.SYSSTATISTICS hasn't changed, so it should be safe.
