[jira] [Created] (INFRA-10254) Stratos builds in parallel causes port conflicts

Akila created INFRA-10254:
-----------------------------

Summary: Stratos builds in parallel causes port conflicts
                 Key: INFRA-10254
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-10254
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Buildbot, Jenkins
            Reporter: Akila

Stratos master branch and other branches can overlap causing build failures due to use of same port while running integration tests. We are using 9443 (https), 9763(http), and 61617 (amqp).

1. What would be recommended approach to fix this? Do we need to dynamically pick a free port to start the server?

2. Is it possible that some other project using these ports could cause port conflicts? Is there some kind of isolation between Jenkins jobs?

3. Can we make use of locks on the appropriate build step to cure this?

If option 3 is the recommended approach, and if you can ensure this will prevent any possible conflicts with other projects, please make necessary configurations to cure it. Also please do let us know your feedback.

Thanks.
