First Apache Release
Hi folks:
Just checking in with my mentor hat on… I signed off the incubator report - everything looks to be progressing nicely.
I just wanted to mention that the first Apache release is more about sorting out the licensing and code provenance and working through the Apache release process than it is about features. So don’t feel that you have to wait until the screen sharing features are complete before you do your first release.
Cheers,
Greg Trasuk

Hi Mike
I remember now and it's fine. The key point is to remember to check the legal aspects for the first release.

Hi all,
Months ago, had this been made known, I probably would have agreed with
you. I do not agree now.
The scope of the first release was brought up for discussion just after
migration to Apache infrastructure was completed (around the end of May)
[1]. Quoting that here for convenience:

It may have been reasonable to pause development for a legally-focused
interim release back when the scope of 0.9.10-incubating was being
discussed, but development is just too far at this point.
For the sake of a sane, stable release, I think we need to complete the
in-flight changes.
Thanks,
- Mike

Hi
I second Greg here. A first release to sort out and check license and other legal files would be great.
