[jira] [Commented] (DIRSERVER-1844) Add support for memberOf virtual attribute

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-1844?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16915725#comment-16915725 ]

Daan Hoogland commented on DIRSERVER-1844:
------------------------------------------

[~elecharny] indeed integrating it in the server will save some CPU but most gain will be the reduced number of network calls. You are right that it holds no added value from a functional perspective but client software is more performant and increasingly relying on the construct of virtual attributes.

Therefore I would like to invest some time in implementing this. Can you give a clue as to how and where to start?
