When releasing ServiceMix, the following file was used before running the release plugin:
http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/incubator/servicemix/branches/servicemix-3.0/pom.xml?revision=470027&view=markup
But when actually releasing, the modified pom has lost the comments:
http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/incubator/servicemix/branches/servicemix-3.0/pom.xml?revision=470031&view=markup

The same thing happened to the commons-parent pom recently.
