Urgent: Profiling with cocoon

Hallo all,
 
I have an application and I need to create user Profiles, which must be
saved, is there any possibility to create files (XML) with cocoon and
save them? Is the Dirctory generator the wright one? If so, how does it
work? Is there any examples using the mentioned generator?
