I'm back

Hello Paul, hello list,

I just got back from vacation and I'm ready to retake my duties as the
patch manager. Paul, how did it go? I saw you filed a bunch of issues,
they look fine. Didn't bump into any problems?

Anyway, can you send me the list of pending patches? I don't really want
to go through the last 1500 messages :)

Also, Karl asked us to write a patch management howto. Have you started
writing it? If not, I can give it a shot in the next few days.

Thanks for doing this,

Sander

Welcome back, Sander -- and thanks for all the work, Paul!

It's a complex task; don't feel bad that people found improvements to
suggest, that's only natural. You saved developers a lot of time; I
tremble when I imagine myself trying to keep track of all those
patches...

The howto will be most welcome.

Thank the starry heavens above for miracles great and small !!!! :)

Errr, let's just say I have an incredible amount of appreciation for
this task now, and hope you never go on vacation ever again :)

I wouldn't quite go that far :)

I'll try to compile that list. I've been trying to get caught up
with them, but IZ has been so painfully slow the last couple days I
haven't been able to.

I've got lot's of notes, but nothing complete yet. I'll try to
collect my notes and foward them to the list.

It may look like I'm just sitting here doing nothing,
but I'm really actively waiting for all my problems to go away.

If you're not having fun, you're not doing it right!
