Regarding JDK 11/17 support for Apache Wicket v7

Hello,

We are currently using Apache Wicket v7 in our application (running on JDK8). And, we are planning to upgrade our java to JDK 11 (also subsequently to JDK 17).
While we do have Wicket upgrade to v8 planned, we would like to know whether Apache Wicket v7 supports JDK 11 (also JDK 17).
As I couldn't find any documentation regarding JDK support for wicket v7.

Awaiting your reply.

Thanks & Regards,
Akshay Jagdish Bhore

Hi,

Yes, Wicket 7 should work just fine with any JDK newer than JDK 8!

But, Wicket 7.x receives only security related fixes!
If you find any non-security issues then most probably they won't be fixed!
This is valid also for JDK 8! We recommend you to upgrade to a newer
version!
