openjpa and karaf
Hi,
What version of openJPA works with karaf 4.0.3? Do I need a specific version of Aries and Transaction for it to all work together?
Thanks,
Pauline

None of the current versions of openjpa fully work with karaf 4.0.3 at
least if you want to use jta 1.2.
The reason is that the import range of openjpa is too small. It is fixed on
trunk of openjpa now. So the next release will work.
See:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENJPA-2607
If you need a quick solution you could change the Manifest of an openjpa
jar locally.

Hi Pauline,
OpenJPA versions included in Karaf 4.0.3 are 2.2.2, 2.3.0, 2.4.0.
They work fine standalone, with JTA 1.x and "old style" JPA (with the
blueprint namespace). If you want annotations and new style, we have to
use wrap with openjpa bundle in order to extend JTA package import
version range.
