回复:[DISCUSS] Graduate Apache SeaTunnel (incubating) as a TLP

Count me in.

Apache SeaTunnel (incubating) has learned and grown a lot since our
incubation in Dec 2021.

I’d like to start a discussion about graduation as TLP for Apache
SeaTunnel(Incubating).

I've summarized some of the data below:
- There are 456 emails sent by 72 people in dev mailing-list excepted
GitBox forwarded
- Released 8 Apache releases, through 5 different release managers
- Invited 15 new committers (all accepted)
- Invited 4 new PPMC members (all accepted)
- There are 174 contributors for now
- 1364 Issues created during ASF incubating, 1063 Issues resolved during
ASF incubating
- 2292 PRs created during ASF incubating, 2225 PRs merged during ASF
incubating
- finished the Podling Maturity Assessment for SeaTunnel [1], all items are
passed
- have created the issue [2] to ensure whether "Apache SeaTunnel" is a
suitable name

We have finished the following checks.

1. We updated our Website [3] content,document and so on according to
Apache rules,we used the url [4] to check and found no potential issue.

2. The status file [5] has been completed.
For more details,see the checklist [6],welcome to check and add what need
doing.

I think we are ready for graduation as Apache TLP.

About PMC, committer and project VP:

I recommend keeping all PPMC(includes mentors) members to PMC, and keeping
all current committers as committers too.

Considering almost committers are new guys for SeaTunnel, I think they may
need more experiences for open source community governance, we can vote
committers to
PMC one by one after graduation.

current full PMC list:

 * Calvin Kirs          <ki...@apache.org>
 * Chao Tian            <ty...@apache.org>
 * Gary Gao            <ga...@apache.org>
 * Guo William          <gu...@apache.org>
 * Jean-Baptiste Onofré <jb...@apache.org>
 * Jia Fan              <fa...@apache.org>
 * Jiajie Zhong        <zh...@apache.org>
 * Jun Gao              <ga...@apache.org>
 * Kevin Ratnasekera    <dj...@apache.org>
 * Lidong Dai          <li...@apache.org>
 * Lifeng Nie          <ni...@apache.org>
 * Ricky Huo            <ri...@apache.org>
 * Ted Liu              <te...@apache.org>
 * Wenjun Ruan          <we...@apache.org>
 * Willem Ning Jiang    <ni...@apache.org>
 * Zhenxu Ke            <ke...@apache.org>
 * kid Xiong            <ri...@apache.org>

I recommand myself as project VP because I have done a lot of work in the
community, besides coding and document, I also do something like holding up
meetup with other communities and promoting SeaTunnel at various
conferences and continue to build the community to make the community more
diverse and so on.

Welcome to discuss.

[DISCUSS] Graduate Apache SeaTunnel (incubating) as a TLP

Posted by TaoZex <26...@qq.com.INVALID>.
Since Seatunnel entered Apache incubation, the project has grown rapidly and now supports over 100 connectors, with a significant increase in versatility following the V2 refactoring.
During the half-year contribution, I got to know many excellent coders and witnessed the excellent system design of Seatunnel, which are both valuable assets for me.
I am very happy to see Seatunnel has reached the graduation stage. I hope to participate in more open source activities in the future and wish Seatunnel better and better.

Best Regards

SeaTunnel project has a very active community, many contributors are
participating in the project, growing from less than 10 contributors before
the incubation stage to hundreds of contributors now.
As a mentor of SeaTunnel, glad to see a diverse community being built, this
project podling is ready to graduate from the incubator.

Re: [DISCUSS] Graduate Apache SeaTunnel (incubating) as a TLP

Posted by david zollo <da...@gmail.com>.
