[jira] [Created] (NETBEANS-3822) Save buttons in update center always enabled

Ernie Rael created NETBEANS-3822:
------------------------------------

Summary: Save buttons in update center always enabled
                 Key: NETBEANS-3822
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-3822
             Project: NetBeans
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: updatecenters - Pluginportal
            Reporter: Ernie Rael

Editing plugin info, "MyPlugins>EditPlugins" and "MyPlugins>VersionManagement" there are save buttons. They are always enabled, they should only enable if something has been modified.

Pressing a save button, even if nothing changed, displays a box saying "... updated". Then if changes are actually made, the updated message is still visible. This wouldn't matter quite so much if the save button state tracked changes.

Also, make a change, press the return button; the return happens and the changes are lost. A warning would be nice.

This combination of factors, make it easy to lose changes
