[jira] [Commented] (COUCHDB-1715) Fauxton user auth module

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/COUCHDB-1715?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13605719#comment-13605719 ]

Russell Branca commented on COUCHDB-1715:
-----------------------------------------

Given that all routes run through the settings generator, we've got a good central place to add this in. We can also use the route settings establish function to require auth on a view level. We should also look into propagating the roles information down to the routes and views so that behavior can be modified depending on the user roles.

> Right now Fauxton makes the assumption that you are running in admin party. We need to add an auth module that wraps around _session handling user logins/logouts and also grabbing the roles to determine appropriate functionality to expose.
