Gora in OODT
Hi,
I am using OODT to archive all of my records for this years TREC federated
web track. Not because it is a huge dataset, but it is large enough for me
to want to know what I am doing with this years data.
I am writing the implementation for the the flexible storage for CAS. Gora
is such a good tool for this btw.
What I wanted to know... if any... is there interest in other storage
options for metadata and cataloging?
What I mean here is what would you folks use other backends for? What kind
of data do you push through/into archive/storage? Gora would like (I hope)
to meet the demands...
Thank you so much
Lewis

Hey Lewis,
This was one of my original goals when I signed up to be the Champion
for Gora I just never got around to it. It's much desired (by at least
me, but I'd suspect more people) and Gora's current support for HBase,
MongoDB, Amazon, Accumulo, and other RDBMS's would be a great start.
We also have a new Solr catalog for OODT that we could probably also
replicate in Gora, and then provide back to OODT.
Proceed away!!
Cheers,
Chris
