HTML or EXCEL into MS Word

Hello,
We are looking to convert HTML or MS Excel into MS Word.
We would like to do this in Java.
Would current version of POI allow us to do it?

Not for automatically doing that.  It should be possible to use POI to read 
Excel style information.  Write support for Word is still immature however 
so don't expect miracles.
