Provide system script templates to start karaf without service wrapper
I've created a set of templates to start Karaf without service wrapper:
- karaf-service-template.conf
- karaf-service-template.init-debian
- karaf-service-template.init-redhat
- karaf-service-template.solaris-smf
- karaf-service-template.systemd
An helper script to generate a service file according to the operating system has been provided:
- karaf-service.sh
Example:
```bash
$ ./karaf-service.sh -h
USAGE: ./karaf-service.sh [-f KARAF_PATH] [-d KARAF_DATA] [-p KARAF_PIDFILE] [-n KARAF_SERVICE_NAME] [-e KARAF_ENV, ...]
-k KARAF_PATH # Karaf installation path
-d KARAF_DATA # Karaf data path (default to ${KARAF_PATH}/data)
-c KARAF_CONF # Karaf configiration file
-p KARAF_PIDFILE # Karaf pid path (default to ${KARAF_DATA}/${KARAF_SERVICE_NAME}.pid)
-n KARAF_SERVICE_NAME # Karaf service name (default karaf)
-e KARAF_ENV # Karaf environment variable (can be repeated)
-u KARAF_SERVICE_USER # Karaf user
-g KARAF_SERVICE_GROUP # Karaf group (default ${KARAF_SERVICE_USER)
-l KARAF_SERVICE_LOG # Karaf console log (default to ${KARAF_DATA}/log/${KARAF_SERVICE_NAME}-console.log)
-h # this usage message
$./karaf-service.sh -k /opt/apache/karaf-4.0.3 -n my-karaf-service -e JAVA_HOME=$JAVA_HOME -u myuser
``
You can merge this pull request into a Git repository by running:
$ git pull https://github.com/lburgazzoli/apache-karaf KARAF-SYSTEM-SCRIPTS
Alternatively you can review and apply these changes as the patch at:
https://github.com/apache/karaf/pull/113.patch
To close this pull request, make a commit to your master/trunk branch
with (at least) the following in the commit message:
