[jira] [Commented] (TAP5-2129) Asset urls in CSS should be expanded/rewritten

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TAP5-2129?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13776448#comment-13776448 ]

Howard M. Lewis Ship commented on TAP5-2129:
--------------------------------------------

Not a fan of this patch, I'm afraid. It's a nice idea, but is a new feature and the implementation is limited to just the "asset:" binding prefix. What about the "classpath:" binding prefix? What about future, user-defined binding prefixes? There isn't a good way to implement this for all cases without some significant restructuring inside Tapestry.

> Asset URLs are treated as "complete" urls by CSSUrlRewriter, so they are not rewritten.
