Thanks for pointing it.
I was searching Issue Tracker using [1] but I didn't found this issue.
Maybe "[sparse-directories]" should be added to the summary?

I can reproduce this.

I don't see this over ra_local with trunk, so it might be a
DAV-specific thing or a back-compat specific thing.
