Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: FOR-46
Summary: build directory created in wrong directories
       Type: Bug

     Status: Unassigned
   Priority: Minor

    Project: Forrest
  Component: Core operations
   Versions:
             HEAD

   Assignee:
   Reporter: Ross Gardler

    Created: Tue, 24 Jun 2003 3:14 PM
    Updated: Tue, 24 Jun 2003 3:16 PM
Environment: All

Description:
If a command is given that will result in the creation of a build directory (e.g. forrest run) whilst in a directory other than the project root a new build directory is created. Should this command be issued in an xdocs directory this will result in subsequent builds (from the project root) failing due to a failure to validate the files in this build directory.

Forrest should only create the build directory after it has validated the existance of the src folder in the current hierarchy.
