The problem seems to be that the {{CheckpointsCleaner}} might trigger {{CheckpointCoordinator}} actions after the job has reached a terminal state and, thus, is shut down. Apparently, we do not properly manage the lifecycles of {{CheckpointCoordinator}} and checkpoint post clean up actions.
