[jira] [Commented] (FLINK-5472) Flink's web server does not support https requests

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-5472?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15826699#comment-15826699 ]

Eron Wright commented on FLINK-5472:
-------------------------------------

Basic support for SSL on the webUI was added in FLINK-4325. There is a fix in FLINK-5030 regarding the advertisement of the HTTPS endpoint to Mesos that addresses the underlying problem here. I'm updating the title accordingly.

> Flink's webserver does not support HTTPS requests. When trying to access {{https://jobmanager:port}}, chrome says that the webserver answered with an invalid response {{ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR}}.
> This happens, for example, when one tries to access Flink's web UI from the DC/OS dashboard via the endpoint links.
> I think we should add a ssl handler to Flink's web server pipeline (even though the certificates might not be trusted).
