[DISCUSS] Apache Tika 1.6 RC #2..today?
Hey Guys,
OK I've been watching dev fly by and I think it's time
for RC #2 of 1.6, which I'll spin today.
Any objections?
Cheers,
Chris

Hi,
Now finally, it's on Maven Central! According to infra, they have some problems with US mirror today. I restarted the TIKA Jnekins built that failed short time ago.

Hi Chris,
I pushed the Maven artifacts: "3.11-beta2" is the version number. Please give the old Apache Rsync repository (used by POI) a few hours until it appears on Maven Central.

Update has been committed to trunk and merged to the 1.6 branch
As soon as your normal maven mirror sees the 3.11 beta 2 release
artifacts, you should be good to roll the RC! (All tests pass for me after
the upgrade anyway...)
Thanks

If possible, I'd say wait another day. There's one more issue (see
private@) spotted in POI since 3.11 beta 1 that should be included in Tika
1.6. The 3.11 beta 2 vote closes tomorrow, so if we can I'd suggest we
delay a day to get that fix in too
Thanks
