if getting rid of or renaming the concept of a "latest release" branch, please be sure to also remove or update the release scripts that maintain this branch (dev-tools/release/*.sh)

> Per conversation on the geode dev list, we should remove this insensitive term from all our repositories.  For most Geode repos, it makes sense to simply delete the branch altogether, since it's not in use and essentially vestigial.  Some, however, actually use master rather than develop for the default branch, so those should be renamed and the default branch set appropriately for the repo.  If some of the regular contributors to each repo will simply take care of this for "their" repo, we'll have this sorted pretty quickly.
