xinclude and xpointer

how well does xinclude processor support
xpointer specification?

minimally, and possibly incorrectly. the xinclude specification itself
uses (used?) xpointer inconsistently and/or incorrectly. patches for
conformance are welcome (though i do wish someone else would take over
maintenance of this module, i'm several patches behind now it would seem!)
