System Alert: Low Available Memory in cluster

Hi :)

I'm getting this error: "System Alert: Low Available Memory in cluster
Cluster01 pod Pod01 of availability zone Zone01"

I don't know how much RAM and CPU I have to allocate to KVM Host. I have
a dedicated server with the following config:

- CPU - 12c/24t - 3.7GHz/4.8GHz
- RAM - 64GB
- Disks: SSD 500GB + HDD 6TB
- Bandwidth - Public 1Gbit/s and Private 2Gbit/s

Both Management Server and KVM Host are VMs inside this dedicated server.

KVM Host config:

- 4 vCPU (host-passthrough)
- RAM 4GB
- Disk 50GB

Management Server config:

- 2 vCPU
- RAM 4GB
- Disk 50GB + 6TB (it's also my storage server)

I really don't know how to allocate more resources to the cluster. I
need your help.

I will paste the error here:

Thank you.

Thank you, Wei.

I Will allocate more memory and CPU cores to my KVM Host. Do you recommend
any limit based on my dedicated server config?

I forgot to mention, by default 1GB memory on kvm host is reserved for
system use.
Only 3GB memory is available for vms if the host has 4GB memory.

Re: System Alert: Low Available Memory in cluster

Hi,

You need to allocate more memory to the kvm host. 4GB is too small.

Stop the kvm host, add memory, then start the kvm host. CloudStack will
detect the new memory size of the kvm host and update database.
